Roadrunner Spikers Take Two of Three to Start new Season

In their first varsity action of the season, the Roadrunner volleyball team came home with a winning record and more confidence while leaving Clarke with a broken net. After losing a tough match to Winterset early in the night, Interstate bounced back taking out their anger from the defeat by smashing Clarke and Lenox in two games respectively.

The quadrangular ended with Interstate, Clarke, and Winterset all taking two matches. In the final match of the night senior Olivia Sulentic brought down more than a group of shell shocked Lenox Tigers. The net was brought down by a powerful right-handed spike attempt.
"The sheer velocity of the ball broke the net." commented Ellen Lupkes.

The Roadrunners will head to the ADM tournament in Adel on Thursday September 1.
